I want you to know that your life can be better; your life can be good.

When you’ve been hurt by your family or in romantic relationships, you may feel completely alone and unloveable. You might know logically that that isn’t true, but can’t feel it. You might even flat out believe that you are unworthy of anything better, or that nothing will ever get better. The longer you have been suffering, the harder it is to see that happiness is possible and you are worthy of it.

My Specialties

I specialize in Complex PTSD (CPTSD or C-PTSD), childhood trauma, and abusive or otherwise toxic relationships to help people find their happiness and feel that they deserve it.

I work primarily with adults, and will work with teenagers (13+) who seem to be a good fit. Many of my clients identify as being LGBTQIA+, polyamorous/consensually nonmonogamous, and/or neurodivergent, and I have particular knowledge related to these identities.

My Perspective

I base my work as a therapist around the theory that most mental health challenges are caused by some kind of trauma.  I don’t believe anything is wrong with you; I believe something bad happened to you, and you made the best of it that you could.

My Style

I bring warmth, unconditional positive regard, and humor to therapy. I share my knowledge readily, letting people know about things like the biological causes of trauma and how people adapt in painful or frightening situations. Anything that will lessen the shame and sense of loneliness that often follows trauma. We work at a pace that is right for you, and prioritize what is most important to you. This is your time and your healing journey. I am here to support you.
